Luke Holland Memorial Trophy Report

Posted on

The Luke Holland memorial game was played at Brockham Recreation Ground on Sunday the 14th September.

This game is the now traditional opening event of our season and is played to remember Luke Holland, who lost his life in a car accident in 2008, and to raise funds for the Kent Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance.

This year the game was contested between our own U16s and teams from Mole Valley Rangers and St Pauls Panthers. The game was eventually won 3-0 by BBFC, but the real result was that we were able to raise £430 for the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance.

Thank you to the players, Managers and everyone else involved in the organisation of this event and the spectators that came to support.

The football was good and played in the very best spirit of the game, but most importantly all involved were most respectful of the event and the reason for it.
