An estimated 400-500 people gathered on the Big Field at 11am on Sunday 5th February, to pay their respects to Stuart Attridge, whose tragic loss the previous weekend, whilst playing for Brockham Green FC (the senior side linked to the Badgers), shocked the entire club and the community.
In an emotional but dignified occasion, a square was formed around an elegant floral tribute. Dorking RFC, who share facilities at the Big Field, suspended their matches and joined Stuart's family, friends and colleagues lining the football pitch. A minute's silence was observed throughout the Big Field.
Throughout the weekend, matches involving a Brockham Badgers team home and away, from the U9s to the U16s, were also preceded by a minute's rememberance.
The thoughts of everyone associated with Brockham Badgers remain with Stuart's family.
