04.06.07 HOLIDAY COACHING A HIT
The Half-Term coaching courses run by the Badgers' affiliated coach, Nick Torpey, proved a big hit with young players - and new club coaches.
UEFA B licensed coach Nick reports that the four days of coaching, covering players from 6 to 13, were exceptionally well attended - with younger players in particular demonstrating some real potential.
However, the courses also showed how Brockham Badgers is developing not just youth football skills - but coaching as well. SITUATIONS VACANT: Brockham Badgers is getting bigger and bolder every year. We now have 350 local boys and girls playing football every week from ages 6 to 17, a highly successful annual tournament with more than 160 visiting teams, and some major plans to develop our coaching and facilities.
And the club is staffed entirely by volunteers. To help us achieve our most ambitious plans for the future, we're reorganising some of our voluntary roles for next season and would welcome parents coming forward to help out.
For next season, we are looking for volunteers to take on the roles of:
Treasurer
Club Secretary
Mini-football Membership Secretary (U7s to U10s)
Pitch Organiser
For details on the Treasurer role, click here. If you think you might be able to help out with any of the other tasks, then please email info@brockhambadgersfc.co.uk - and we'll get back to you.
This is an exciting time for Brockham Badgers - but we can't develop without your help. So, if you can spare a little time and wouldn't mind getting more involved - then please get in touch.
18.06.07 ANNUAL PLAYER AWARDS
We've won leagues,
promotion and cups...and those that haven't got the results they hoped
for have still shown fantastic spirit, playing enthusiastically through
a long hard year. Off-the-field, the Brockham 07 Tournament Team have,
once again, set a new standard in the organisation of youth football
events.
All players and their families are invited to come along to
the Awards Afternoon to recognise all these achievements. There will
also be the traditional awards in each team for individual players
as well as some special awards made by the Management Committee.

Brockham Badgers is keen to encourage our older players to continue their interest in football and the club, by developing their coaching skills - and Nick Torpey is full of praise for the way Lewis and Gregg have handled their new challenge.
Nick also wishes to thank the boys and parents who have supported the holiday coaching courses. Dates for the Summer Holidays will be published here on the website soon.
