03.12.06 WET TOPS!
As the rain decimated the league programme for the second week running, Brockham's U12 (Blacks) took full advantage of the playable picthes on the Big Field to move to the top of the table in the Horsham and District League. Despite trailing 1-0 to Upper Beeding at half-time, the Badgers came bac k with a storming second half performance to win 4-2.
The U10s also made sure the bad weather didn't put them off their game. The U10 Assassins kept up the pressure on the leading pack in the Epsom and Ewell Second Divisions by recording their biggest league win of the season - 5-0 against Roundshaw Colts. Whilst the U10 Barbarians made it three wins in a row, with a 2-0 victory over Stoneleigh Athletic.
Elsewhere, the results were less good news. The U15Bs and U10 Crusaders both lost. And it never rains but it pours for the U13As...their 4-0 defeat by Hurstpierpoint leaves them still valiantly looking for their first points in the Horsham and District 'A' Division.
12.12.06 HOME ADVANTAGE
Whilst other pitches around Surrey and Sussex have suffered in the recent downpours, leading to many postponements, the Big Field has proved a reliable stage for Brockham's weekend action.
Ockley Acorns generously agreed to switch the Surrey County Cup Third Round tie from their waterlogged pitch to the Big Field - and the U11As took full advantage, putting on a tremendous display with a 5-2 win that earns a place in the last 16. Read the match report here.
The U12As chalked up their second win of the season in style - an 8-1 victory over Broadbridge Heath. And it was a good weekend for the U11Bs, who moved into third place in the Epsom and Ewell Division Three, courtesy of a 6-0 win over Walton Heath. There were also a win for the U14As.
Away from home, the U12 Blacks prolonged their stay at the top of their table, with a 3-1 win against Upper Beeding.

18.12.06 CHRISTMAS CRACKERS!
The last weekend of league action this year saw some cracking games in all age groups, as Brockham Badgers showed once more why it is attracting over 300 boys and girls each year to play regular football at all levels of ability.
The big winners were the U11Bs, with a 6-0 victory at West Byfleet. Their colleagues in the U11As let a two goal lead slip at Roundshaw, but the draw was enough to ensure they'll spend Christmas at the top of the Epsom and Ewell First Division. The U12 (Blacks) will also see in the new year as table toppers, consolidating their lead with a home win against Copthorne. There were also wins for the U12As and the U10 Assassins and U10 Barbarians.
Results in the older age groups were less successful. However, the continued effort of the U16s and U13As is to be applauded as they still search for their first league points of the season. And, despite defeat in a seven goal thriller this weekend, the U14As have shown great ambition by taking on some of the county's best this year in the Surrey Youth League.
The U17s got a glimpse of the future as they took on one of the village's senior sides in a friendly - and the future looks like it will be nothing to be scared of, as they ran out 5-1 winners against their older counterparts.
