08.01.06   NEW YEAR RESOLUTION
There were some tough battling performances this weekend, in bitter conditions - and that was just the supporters!

On the field, Brockham Badgers teams gave their all, with some difficult fixtures in freezing January mud.

The U13As started the New Year as they ended the old one - and maintained their 100% record with a 7-0 away win over South Park in atrocious conditions. The U15s notched up an 11-0 victory over West Chiltington Youth, who have been having a tough season. There were also wins for the U14As and U9 (Whites). The U10As held Epsom and Ewell Division 1 leaders Stoneleigh to a well-deserved draw.

A very happy new year for the U15s, who returned to action with an 11-0 home win.

Elsewhere, a narrow home defeat for the U16s cost them top spot in the Horsham League. In another top-of-the-table six-pointer, the U12As battled hard but never recovered from conceding two early goals to league-leaders Hurstpierpoint. The U10Bs went out of the George Szekely Cup - but there was no shame in losing by just a single goal to Roundshaw's A-team, who currently lead a higher divsion.
13.01.06   WATCH F.A. VASE CUP ACTION FOR FREE - NEXT WEEKEND
Brockham Badgers is the affiliated youth club of Dorking FC. On Saturday 21st January, there's a chance for all Brockham players to watch the senior side in action for free - in the last 32 of the prestigious national non-league cup competition, the FA Vase.  Kick-off is at 3pm.

Dorking are in the last 32 for only the second time ever and are expecting their biggest crowd in more than a year for the fourth round home tie against Mildenhall. Brockham Badgers players - along with their brothers, sisters and friends under 16 - are invited to the game for free when accompanied by a paying adult. (Adults tickets are £6, with £3 concessions for OAPs).

It's a good way for Badgers' players to watch a competitive non-league match at close quarters. The final of this season's FA Vase is scheduled to be the first match at the new Wembley in 2006. Team Managers are requested to pass on the details of the offer at training and matches prior to the game, so we can get a good turn-out of Brockham Badgers to cheer Dorking into the last 16.

15.01.06   7-UP FOR THE CUP!
The U14As have stormed into the semi-finals of the President's Cup with a 7-0 away win over Steyning Strikers! The result was the high-point in a weekend of cup action for Brockham Badgers.

Elsewhere, Cup success will have to wait until next season. The U14Bs, U13Bs, U11As and U11 (Black) all came up against higher league opposition and, despite some brave performances, couldn't cause an upset. Credit in particular to the U11As, who pushed their opponents all the way with extra time and penalties.

In the league, the U12As repelled the Crusaders from Horsham, in a hard-fought 2-1 home victory. There was also a league win for the U10Bs, who kept up the pressure on the leading clubs in the Epsom and Ewell Third Division, with a victory at South Park.

On the march against the Horsham Crusaders - the U12Bs earn a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

22.01.06   6 FROM 15 = 18
Six goals from the U15s made it six league wins in a row - and a maximum 18 points since mid-November. The winning run sees them in second spot in the table and, even though they may have played more games than their rivals, its good for Brockham to already have the points safely in the bag!

The club finishes the weekend's action with two table-topping teams. The U13As continued their storming inaugural season in the Epsom and Ewell League, with a 7-1 victory over AFC Walcountians. The win sees the Badgers' side top on goal difference but with games in hand. Meanwhile, the U8 (Blues) remained top of their Tadworth League, with a hard-fought 1-0 win over their nearerst rivals.
With no fewer than nine wins fand two draws or the club, there were strong performances throughout the age groups. Special congratulations to the U11 (Whites) who notched up their first league victory of the season in a see-saw thriller at Balcombe, winning by the odd goal in nine.

Well done also to Brockham Girls. The U11 squad made it two wins out of three this season, with an away win at AFC Walcountians.

The U15s - charging to a 6-1 victory - their sixth consecutive league win.
24.01.06   DORKING THANKS THE BADGERS
Dorking FC has asked the website to pass on the club's thanks to all the Brockham Badgers players, parents and friends who came along and lent their support in the FA Vase fourth round clash at Meadowbank on Saturday.

The official attendance was 450 with no fewer than 175 of those under sixteen - many of them Brockham Badgers taking advantage of the free admission with a paying adult. Obviously, it was disappointing that the crowd didn't get to see Dorking progress in to the next round (losing 3-1 to Mildenhall Town) but the support was greatly appreciated.

29.01.06   SAME TIME NEXT WEEK
The double dream is stil alive for the U13As in ther inaugural season in the Epsom and Ewell League.  Flying high at the top of the Premier League, their cup hopes are also very much alive. In an enthralling League Cup Quarter Final, the U13 Badgers recovered from conceding an early goal to earn a 4-4 draw (aet). Go to Matchday to read the full report. The two teams will battle once again for a Semi-Final place next week.

In a truncated league programme, Brockham Badgers sides were involved in a number of tight, but high-scoring games. The U16s came through some scary moments in the second half against Steyning and won by 4-3 to retain second spot in the table. Whilst the U11 (Blacks) were also given a second-half test by Cranleigh Cranes, but the three goals they scored in the first five minutes of the match proved decisive in a 5-3 final score.

Elsewhere, the U11As and Capel Youth shared eight goals in a 4-4 draw, whilst the U10Cs were norriowly edged out 4-3 by Bookham Colts.
First to the ball - but the goals didn't follow for the U14As, in something of a six-pointer against Storrington.
