06.11.05   BADGERS PICK UP POINTS - AND THEN PICK UP LITTER
Another busy weekend for Brockham Badgers saw six wins and three draws for our teams - as well as some narrow defeats.

U11 (Black) and U10C both overcame disappointing results last time out to record comprehensive victories -
6-1 and 7-0 respectively. There were also wins for U16, U13A, U12B and U10A.

THANK YOU....to the dozens of players, coaches and their families who braved a wet 'morning after' on Sunday to join in the Brockham Bonfire Litter Pick.

The early risers gathered at about 8am and the bulk of the work clearing the Village Green and the Firework Field was completed by 10am.

Those who helped out have ensured that Brockham Badgers will, once again,  receive a substantial donation to club funds from the Bonfire proceeds - which will help maintain and develop our standards of equipment and training.
CONGRATULATIONS....to Jason Rabbetts (pictured right), Under 9 Yeargroup Manager, who passed the Level One FA Club Coaching Badge on Saturday.

Brockham Badgers FC is keen for as many coaches as possible to improve their skills and obtain FA qualifications.

12.11.05   DORKING FC RAFFLE DRAW
Congratulations to Tim Leveit who won first prize in the Dorking FC prize draw. A full list of prize winners can be seen by clicking here.

Many thanks to all the Brockham Badgers parents who bought tickets at matchdays during October. Half the money raised through ticket sales made by Brockham Badgers has been donated to our club funds.
13.11.05   CUP RUNS AND DERBY DAYS
Cup success edged one game nearer for Brockham Badgers this weekend, as four of our sides made it through to the next round of their respective knockout competitions.

Congratulations to the U16s who had a good win against strong opposition from Storrington. Well done also to the U12As and U11As, who successfully negotiated the potential banana skins of lower league opponents.

Commiserations to the U15s, who were one minute away from knocking out higher league opposition, only to suffer an equaliser and narrow defeat in extra time.

Disappointment for the U15s, who were just one minute away from a place in the next round.

It was derby day in the younger age groups, as the U9 (Whites) clashed with the U9 (Reds) in a league match. In their very-own Battle of the Buffet, both Pizza Express-sponsored sides fought well - but it was extra toppings for the Whites whose strong first-half performance saw them run out 5-1 winners.

Meanwhile, the U9 (Blues) notched up their biggest win for two seasons, with a 5-0 home victory over Holmbury Wolves.

20.11.05   ICED GEMS
The weather was distinctly cold but, on frost-covered pitches throughout Surrey and Sussex, Brockham strikeforces blew exceptionally hot with some sweet results.

The weekend saw no fewer than eight victories for Brockham Badgers, with the older age groups notching the most notable high-scoring wins. The U16s, U15s and U14As netted no fewer than 23 times between them, winning 9-2, 6-1 and 8-2 respectively.

The U13As negotiated their way through to the third round of the cup with a good 5-2 victory against fellow Epsom and Ewell Premier Division side, Corinthian Casuals.
Warmming up on a frosty pitch - the U9 (Whites) are glad of their new Brockham Badgers training tops!.

The U11As were another team with their sights firmly set on goal, with a 6-0 victory at Heron Way. There were also wins for U13B, U12A and U10A.

27.11.05   SOME YOU WIN - SOME YOU LOSE...
...that was certainly the case for Brockham Badgers - but, in a weekend of mixed outcomes, the victories just outnumbered the defeats.

In the Horsham and District League, the U15s and U12As continued fine runs of form. The U12As are still three points off the top of the table following a 1-0 home victory, whilst the U15s are also well-positioned in the chasing pack of their divsion, after a 3-1 win at Lingfield. The biggest scorers of the weekend were the U14Bs, 6-1 winners at home to Ewhurst. There was also a good away win for the U8 (Blues).
It's seven games unbeaten, as the U12As put in a battling performance against Steyning.

There were cup games for our teams in the Epsom and Ewell Leagues. The U13As booked themselves a place in the fourth round of the Surrey County Cup, with a 4-0 win over Staines Albion. Meanwhile, the U10As were unfortunate to be drawn against high-flying Premier Division side, Oxshott,  and lost 5-1. Whilst the U10Bs cup run continues after they overcame Epsom Eagles 2-1.
29.11.05   GIRLS KICK OFF
Brockham Badgers Girls have got their season underway - and made a promising start against difficult opposition.

The Girls squad, playing at under 11 level, took on the under 12 girls from Dorking Town. The game ended in defeat for Brockham, but it was a creditable performance against an older and more experienced side - with the Badgers Girls growing stronger as the game progressed. It's looking promising for the rest of the season.
