Brockham Badgers is getting bigger and bolder every year.
We now have 350 local boys and girls playing football every week from ages 6 to 17, a highly successful annual tournament with more than 160 visiting teams, and some major plans to develop our coaching and facilities.
And the club is staffed entirely by volunteers.
To help us achieve our most ambitious plans for the future, we're reorganising some of our voluntary roles and would welcome parents coming forward to help out.
For next season, we are looking for volunteers to take on the roles of:
Treasurer
Club Secretary
Mini-football Membership Secretary (U7s to U10s)
For details on the Treasurer role, please read on below. If you think you might be able to help out with any of the other tasks, then please email info@brockhambadgersfc.co.uk and we'll get back to you.
This is an exciting time for Brockham Badgers - but we can't develop without your help. So, if you can spare a little time and wouldn't mind getting more involved - then please get in touch.
BROCKHAM BADGERS FC TREASURER:
Martin Bangs, the club’s current Treasurer, has put together the following guide to the post:
The role requires someone comfortable with figures to record the club’s financial transactions and to report to the club’s Management Committee on financial matters.
The key aspects are:
banking club receipts, including subscriptions, match fees, sponsorship monies and takings from events
paying club expenses by cheque, including pitch expenses, kit, team expenses, entry fees, fines, etc
recording and filing all information and checking these against bank statements
preparing accounts for the club at the end of each season
dealing with any queries raised.
It is estimated that the role requires approximately two hours of time each week. Martin will be pleased to explain more to anyone interested in taking on this task and will be available to fully support the role transition.
If you are interested, please feel free to call Martin on 01737 842353 for further information. |
