MUD FOR IT!
23 February 2010

The weekend saw more ark-building weather on the Big Field, but the Badgers took to the resulting mud with passion and commitment.

Postponements and half-term meant only six of our sides were in action - but there was no shortage of mud-fuelled action. The U13As (pictured) and U14As continued their recent good form with strong wins in the Surrey Youth League, whilst the U15 Girls are now just two points off the top of the Surrey Girls Division One, with two games in hand, after a 7-1 victory over West Byfleet.

Meanwhile, the U11As came out on top in a five-goal thriller against Maidenbower United.

BADGERS FULL OF HEART
14 February 2010

Valentines weekend - and the Badgers showed their love of the beautiful game with performances full of heart.

There was a big win for the U16As at Cranleigh and the U13As at Hampton and Richmond, whilst the U12As grabbed all three points in a home match with Hurstpierpoint. Meanwhile, the U10As continued their charge at the top of the Tadworth League with a 7-0 win.

But football can break hearts too - as the U14As found out as they were narrowly edged out by a single goal against top elite club AFC Wimbledon. Better to have loved and lost...

GOALDEN WEEKEND
7 February 2010

After a winter of disruption to football in Brockham, the Badgers made up for lost time this weekend - with 18 games producing no fewer than 115 goals!

The U10As were in action twice, scoring ten times to gain a maixmum six points at the top of the Tadworth League.

Elsewhere, there were big wins for the U14As and U13As in the Surrey Youth League - and the U13Bs and U11As in the Horsham League. Special mention to the U10Bs who produced their performance of the season in the Tadworth League to earn a 2-2 draw against high-flying Albury Griffins.

A couple of our teams found themselves on the wrong end of large scorelines - but it was still an an exciting weekend of enthusiastic youth football for the Badgers.
