A HATRICK OF CHAMPIONS
31 March 2008

Time to find the keys to the trophy cabinet once again!

The U14Bs have become the third Brockham team this year to win a league title. They join the U12Bs and the U8 Blacks on the season's roll of honour after confirming their Horsham and District Championship with a 2-1 home win. Congratulations!

The U12As kept on the pressure at the top in their first season in the Surrey Youth League, with a 3-1 win over Links FC. With games in

The U11As wrapped up their league programme - but must wait for other results to see if they can secure a top 3 finish.

hand, the league title is still a possibility - but there'll be little room for error in their remaining fixtures. They travel to main title rivals Wandgas next Sunday.

EASTER ACTION
24 March 2008

Just five Brockham teams saw league action over the Easter weekend. There were excellent wins for the U16Bs, U14Bs and the U13As (easing relegation worries). And although the result didn't go their way, the U10Cs put in another gutsy performance in icy conditions.

MORE CHAMPION BADGERS
17 March 2008

A second Brockham team have wrapped up a league title this weekend.

Congratulations to the U8 Blacks who, in their first season of competitive football, have won a tightly fought Tadworth League. Their championship follows hot on the heels of the U12B's victory two weeks ago.

U8 Dad, Chris Hurst writes: "This has been an excellent season for the young Badgers.  As the games progressed it was a pleasure to see so many different qualities emerge from the

squad of ten.   We look forward to even better things next season!" Read his full report here.

Meanwhile the U14As edged closer to promotion back to the Horsham and District A League at the first attemkpt, with a 3-0 home win against Twin Oaks. The U12As kept in the hunt for the Surrey Youth League title with a 4-0 victory against Kingstonian Youth amd there were 7-0 wins for the U16Bs and U12Bs.

HEROES AND HEARTBREAK
11 March 2008

As is traditional, the Cup competitions brought heroes and heartbreak this weekend. The U16Bs were the heroes as they booke dtheir place in the Horsham and District U16 Plate Final, following a fine 5-1 win over Partridge Green.

Looking for a second successive League Cup Final appearance, the U13As performed heroically - but ultimately there was heartbreak as they went out in the Semis to Ashurst Wood Albion.

FIRST AMONG CHAMPIONS
3 March 2008

The U12Bs - this year's first Badgers team confirmed as Champions
(Click on the picture for full screen version)

Several Badgers teams are pushing for a league title - but the first to be confirmed as Champions are the U12Bs. Coach Duncan Hanwell and his team wrapped up the Horsham and District D-League title with two games to spare, after a 1-0 win at Ashington Cougars.

Duncan says: "Even though the lads won the title, I would like to thank all the parents who have made the job of running the team so much easier with their co-operation, enthusiasm and best of all, good behaviour! There have been no touchline spats and most matches this season have been played in very good spirit. This is what Boys football is about, even more than winning. But we have done both!"

Meanwhile, both U14 teams kept their title pushes going. The U14As lie in second place, but their 4-2 away win narrowed the gap to just three points with three games in hand. And the U14Bs remain a point clear after a 2-2 draw with nearest rivals, Horsham Tigers. There wer also good wins for the U18s, U16Bs, U13 Blacks, U13 Whites, U13 Girls, U12As and U11As.
