"Wow! What a triumph! Brockham’08 was fantastic! Thank you to you and the team. We had a great day as a family, the organisation was slick, matches were on time and the whole event had a friendly feel about it. These events form part of our kids’ happy childhood memories..."

Just one of the many messages received from managers and parents a day after the final whistle blew at Brockham 08. Our third annual tournament was widely declared the biggest and best yet.

A staggering 192 teams with over 1500 young footballers, including a girls' team from as far afield as Berlin, took part in a weekend of fantastic football, fair but competitive play...and, against all the forecasts, two days of sunshine. Teams entered into the European Championship spirit, with flags and faces painted - and some choosing to wear the shirts of their 'adopted country'. An estimated 3000 spectators also enjoyed the spectacle on Brockham's Big Field, a National Trust site nestling at the foot of the North Downs. You can read more comments from those who were there by clicking here.

Besides the football, players and their families could enjoy the Brockham Bonfire BBQ, healthy eating options from the Elliott Jones Deli-Bar, the Fulham FC Speed Cage, free sessions with Little Kickers and a visit from the Surrey Air Ambulance - amongst much more activity.

The Tournament Committee would like to thank everyone who came to play or to watch, everyone in Brockham who helped, our principal sponsor Horizon Data Management and all the local businesses who supported Brockham 08.

Results and Pictures

No fewer than 534 games were staged over the weekend of Brockham 08 . And you can read and download the results from every single one, including all the final group stage league tables, by clicking here. The list of winners, runners up and Fair Play Awards is here.

A gallery of pictures capturing the atmosphere of the Tournament, from the pitches to behind-the-scenes, has been uploaded to view on Flickr. Click here to view the full set (and feel free to leave your comments under any of the photos on the site).

Dates Confirmed for Brockham 09

Yes - we're going to do it all again! We're pleased to confirm that the dates have been set for Brockham 09. Next year's tournament will be on 13th and 14th June 2009.

This year's event was fully booked with long waiting lists. Several age groups were full within a fortnight of registration opening. All teams who took part this year are already on the Mailing List - and in pole position to get advance registration details for Brockham 09.

If you didn't take part this year, but would like to be added to the Mailing List and receive Registration Details as soon as they are available (January 2009), please send an email to brockham09@brockhambadgersfc.co.uk.

See you at Brockham 09!
